Started off in the Print Media Industry & servicing Brands such as Forbes magazine, Mail & Guardian, Lesotho Times to name a few, Nerusha entered the locations & events business where she found her love & passion for lights, camera & action! She identified the need & decided to fill the gap in the KZN market, to provide productions and event producers a one stop shop catering and sourcing for all their needs to add value to them while saving producers money and time, After all Time is Money!
The aim for the company is to put KZN on the map, develop our people, create strong networks and alliances as well as provide our people with enough work & showcase our beautiful & diverse locations!
Born and brought up in Kzn, Nerusha has great knowledge & network of locations & people. She works closely with Durban Film Office, KZN Film Commission and has assisted many local & national Films & events to international Directors & award-winning Nollywood Blockbusters! The 48 Hour Film Festival & Bokeh Fashion film festivals are annual events that Visual Network SA is a part of. We are proud to Be affiliated with Great Brands such as Bayede! Royal wine, Hilton Hotel, Avis Car rental, Media Film Services to name a few.
We have assisted over 60 productions to date, from short films, to features, international collaborations, Nollywood blockbusters, TV Commercials & even the recent success, Women King!
48-Hour Film Festival
48-Hour Film Project
48-hour Film festival is an international film competition, whereby anybody wishing to make a film does so in 1 weekend. You don’t need fancy equipment as you may even film using a mobile device. There is a workshop prior to the event to equip teams with all info, requirements, tips etc to make their short film. All films get screened in cinema & overall city Winners films goes to Filmapalooza whereby the Top 10 Films get identified to be screened at Cannes Film festival! Its in 130 cities globally and in existence for past 22 years!
How It Works
It sounds simple: Make a film in 48 hours – 2 days – one weekend. Here’s the catch – you don’t know the genre of your film until right before the clock starts ticking!
